Exciting New Song: Sunlight by Harlem Shakes

1506311001_lHarlem Shakes have been kicking around Brooklyn for a couple years now (Swatties, you might remember seeing them at Olde Club in 2006, I believe), but it finally might be their year.  Their EP came out in 2007, and now their first full length, Technicolor Health, is due out in March.  There’s a lot of buzz going around about it, and judging from this track (which I got turned on to from IGIF), it might be well deserved.

The song, called “Sunlight,” strangely reminds me of Ted Leo (the vocal style?).  Aside from the Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat imagery it evokes in the beginning, it’s a pretty great track.  The song is very catchy; I could even see it getting played on the radio.  I’ve included it at the bottom of the post.  If you enjoy catchy, up-beat rock music, you will almost certainly enjoy this.
