As always, there’s a whole lot going on this Saturday. The Thermals, The So So Glos, The Muggabears, Takka Takka, Sharon Van Etten, and Telepathe are all playing shows. However, I have to recommend one of Loney Dear’s shows. Loney Dear is a Swedish singer-songwriter who is opening for Andrew Bird on his upcoming tour. If you like Mr. Bird or other Swedish artists like Peter Bjorn and John, Jens Lekman, or even Lykke Li you’ll definitely be interested in Loney Dear. Check out the adorable video above. I have a feeling that after this tour with Andrew Bird, he’ll be headlining his own US tours, so catch one of these two solo shows while you can!
He’s playing twice on Saturday. The first performance is free at Sound Fix Records at 4PM. The second is at Union Hall at 8PM with Arms.
