I’ve been lucky enough to have seen Nous Non Plus play once before. It was at Swarthmore and they were opening for Skeletons and the Girl-Faced Boys. (Who were awful that night, but I’ve heard have since gotten much better. They’re now just called The Skeletons.) No one had heard of them or knew what to expect, but if you ask any recent grad or senior at Swat they’ll tell you it was one of the most high energy shows they’ve ever seen. I received countless requests for them when I was doing booking later on.
If you’re not familiar, Nous Non Plus is a (faux) French rock band that plays upbeat, joyous tunes ranging from simple love songs in French to parodies about Paris Hilton. The high point of the show was the finale, when then played one of the best covers I’ve ever seen- “99 Red Balloons,” believe it or not.
This show will be SO MUCH FUN. Promise. Nous Non Plus is also playing with Lights, The Sharp Things, and Clock Hand Strangle.
