I know, I know, this blog gives Sharon Van Etten A LOT of love. But that’s because she deserves it. Van Etten is one of the most haunting singer-songwriters I’ve ever seen, and I hope everyone falls in love with her, too. This show is actually two shows at Monkeytown in Brooklyn, one at 7:30 and one at 10. Plus, if you go to one of these shows you will not only be showing support for Van Etten, but for Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Sounds Like Brooklyn Festival. A worthy cause.
