This is the first of two Mercury Lounge shows that White Rabbits will play this week. Indie rock darlings of 2007/8, White Rabbits haven’t used their considerable buzz from the last year and a half to their advantage. Instead, they retreated into the bowels of Brooklyn and we haven’t heard a peep from them since July. There haven’t been any announcements of new music coming out soon, but this duo of shows is a good indicator that more is on the way. They’re probably testing out new material and blowing the dust off of their two rusty drum kits. This should be good news for everyone. Hopefully their sophomore effort will be even more compelling than their first. There’s a cool free live track available here.
