There is so much going on this pre-SXSW weekend! Lots of bands play in NYC to get ready for the big week ahead. This Friday there’s tons of great bands to choose from: Les Savy Fav at Brooklyn Masonic Temple and even Titus Andronicus and The Wrens on one bill. But, I have to whole-heartedly recommend the show that I will be attending, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart at The Bell House. With their pop-sensibilities and Pitchfork praise, it’s likely that this band could be the Fleet Foxes of last year. See them at a small venue while you still can! I just did a post on Let’s Wrestle, and they are very cool. Plus, Knight School is such a great name for a band. They’ve been playing around the city a lot these days and I can’t wait to check them out. Hopefully I’ll see you there!
