USAISAMONSTER, bulwarks of the Brooklyn scene, recently announced that they are breaking up. They are going on a European tour and playing a final show at Market Hotel. They’re one of those bands I discovered in college, thinking about them as some sort of very underground Brooklyn thing. I’ve since learned that they are an enormously popular veteran group on the scene here. They’re known for their raucous live shows and were around almost before Williamsburg started being the Williamsburg we all love to hate today (they formed in 2000). I’ve never actually seen them before. Whenever a show comes up I always think, “Oh, they play here all the time, I’ll see them eventually.” Well, it’s now or never. Tomorrow, Glasslands, 9PM. You can check out tunes at their myspace page.
