I know that Alela Diane is old news by now (she received much attention after recently opening a string of dates for Blitzen Trapper). But after I saw her at SXSW, I haven’t been able to stop listening to her beautiful folk tunes. Something about her voice just makes you want to come back for more. It’s soothing and sweet. Plus, her dad plays with her in her band. I just bought her album (I did! I went to a record store and BOUGHT it!), and I can’t get enough of “White As Diamonds.” It’s available for download below.

I’m a big Alela fan too, and have been fairly obsessed with her music. Don’t know if you’ve heard her album collaboration with Headless Heroes, but if not, it’s worth checking out. Bit of a different tack than Pirates Gospel or To Be Still, but some brilliant stuff on there.
