This is the kind of show that you go to so that in six months when all these bands are huge, you can say that you saw them in that tiny venue in Brooklyn six months ago. Of course, in a night that’s full of good music all over this city, social capital isn’t the only reason I’m recommending this show. It’s going to be really good. Kurt Vile, Girls, and Real Estate are all different artists, but all of them play a type of rock that’s steeped in nostalgia for a bygone era and days of summer. These artists fit well together, and each of them has enough buzz to solve the energy crisis. The video above from Girls was recently posted on GvB, and I like the song a lot.
