I’m not too jazzed about any of the shows tomorrow. Go see Ezra Furman’s last night of their Pianos residency if you haven’t yet. Or go see Explosions In the Sky at Summerstage. Not really my thing, but will certainly be a good show. I figured I’d use this lack of enthusiasm as the perfect time to post about this local Brooklyn benefit. All proceeds go to the medical expenses of Jon Wiley, a Brooklyn musician without healthcare who has been diagnosed with MS. It’s a great cause with a pretty good line up. Chairlift is inconsistent live, but when Caroline is on, she’s on. Adam Green is, of course, one half of what used to be the Moldy Peaches. I saw Lightspeed Champion at CMJ and wans’t too impressed, but that was a special circumstance and I like their gentle, poppy tunes on their record okay. Anyways, this should be a good night of music, so get out there and support on July 9th!
