This show is not going to be for the faint of heart. Pissed Jeans are a hilarious, sort-of hard core band on Sub Pop. Their songs have a lot of bite, but also have a huge sense of humor. On their latest record, King of Jeans, they sing a lot about getting older, including one particularly funny song about balding. TV Ghost is a young band from Indiana, who play a difficult but rewarding brand of noise lo-fi. The last time I saw Deerhunter their bass player was wearing a TV Ghost t-shirt, so they definitely have friends in high places. Plus, it’s all a benefit for WFMU, so that’s really cool. You’ll be missing out on Micachu, but fear not, you can see her at LPR on Saturday night.
