These four bands are part of a record label/collective of sorts called Famous Class. I’ve written about all of these bands several times before, and I recommend that you go to see them at Le Poisson Rouge on Tuesday if you haven’t seen them yet. They’ve been putting in their Brooklyn dues for the last several years, and people are starting to notice. This LPR show is definitely a step in that direction. I’ve loved Boogie Boarder’s noise-rock ever since they put on a great show my junior year at Swarthmore. And Darlings sound like an updated version of the strokes. Check out Tony Castles for yourself at their myspace. Plenty of falsetto and interesting guitar parts to go around.
