Recommended Friday Show: Dirty Projectors at The Bell House

dirty_projectors_news

With bands rolling into town for CMJ next week (more on that later), there is an overwhelming number of things going on.  Personally, I will be watching Sunset Rubdown at Manhattan Center Grand Ballroom.  But I also wish I were watching Air Waves and Beach Fossils at Market Hotel.  And going to the Dinosaur Feathers show.  And seeing No Age.  Blagh!  So much to do!  But mostly, if I wasn’t going to be swooning over Spencer Krug, I’d wish I were at The Bell House to see Dirty Projectors.  This was an easy one.  They’re definitely one of the best bands right now, period, and The Bell House will be such a great venue for them.  A big, open stage with no bad sightline in the whole room.  Really though, if I could give you one piece of advice for this weekend, it’s STAY HOME.  Save you hard-earned money and catch up on some extra hours of sleep.  Next week is CMJ.  Rest up.
