One more day before CMJ madness. There’s tons of bands flooding into town for the festival (marathon), so this Monday is heavy on great non-New York bands. I’d definitely recommend catching Los Angeles’ Fool’s Gold before you need a CMJ badge to get in to see them. They’re yet another group that uses non-American musical influences in their music. I still find it all a bit controversial, but the result is extremely pleasant. Check out the mp3 below. The new Knitting Factory is also pretty alright. I’ll have my CMJ recommendations up tomorrow!
