The New York Rockmarket

For tomorrow’s day party, it’s time to move on into Brooklyn.  NYC Taper is throwing a wonderful showcase at Bruar Falls.  I like this group of bands a lot because none of them are really very flashy or buzzy or play Todd P venues or are necessarily very hip, that sort of thing.  But they’re all really, really solid bands and worthy of hype.  A very well put-together show, if you ask me.  Highlights include Kittens Ablaze, Motel Motel, Peasant, and The Loom, all of whom I’ve posted mp3s from here before.  In honor of the really amazing rendition of the song they did yesterday at Cake Shop (to be honest, kind of the only reason I like the band), please enjoy Motel Motel’s “Coffee” below.
