Karl Blau’s music is all over the place. Sometimes it just sort of sounds like free-form indie rock, and sometimes it borders on 70s lounge music. Somehow, he pulls it all together for a very cool result. I definitely think checking out his show would be a cool experience. LAKE is a band that I constantly go back and forth on. The Washington state band plays laid-back, smooth tunes that sometimes succeed and sometimes don’t. Check out their myspace to see if you’re interested.
