Photos: White Denim and Brazos at Music Hall of Williamsburg

I am way behind on this post, so I’ll keep it brief.  Last Thursday’s show at Music Hall of Williamsburg was very good.  Brazos was an excellent opener.  Nothing astounding, but extremely pleasant indie songs with inventive drumming and an impossible not to like leading man.  White Denim played a frenetic, rousing set as always.  This must be one of the most musically energetic bands in rock and roll right now.  Switching from classic rock to funk to psychedelic to jazz, these guys must listen to so much music.  This comes out in their amazing, endlessly quick tunes, if not sometimes making them sound a little schizophrenic or a little cliche.  Still, an incredibly impressive show from an impressive Austin band.
