You heard it here first. Gray Goods are sweet. I know almost nothing about this band (their myspace page only has 3,000 hits), but I know that I like them. They only have three songs on their myspace. On first listen, they’re pretty sloppy. All over the place with out of tune singing and well-worn chord structures. But then you go back to the songs and listen again. And then again. And then you realize that they have the innocent ramshackle quality that makes for good songs and a good band. I’ll have to see this band live to really decide, but from these early tracks I hear potential.
