I’m a big fan of Ducktails. Matt Mondanile, also the guitarist in Real Estate, creates equally breezy but less accessible tunes as his bigger-band brethren. If you like Real Estate, you will like him, and a trip to Cake Shop will be well worth it. Infinity Window plays mostly intense sound-scapey songs and Gary War sounds a lot like Black Dice, though maybe with more blips and gleeps and fewer sharp edges. If you’re not really into noise, then you might want to skip this show. But if top-notch Brooklyn weirdo tunes are for you, then this will be a fun night out.
