The above photo is one I took of Real Estate from a Dead Herring show the first week in March of 2009. It’s nice to look back on that post and know that they DID get the experience they needed and they will go on to do exciting things with their career. The success of Woods and Real Estate feels like watching my hometown heros win it all and bring home the gold, and nothing could make me happier than this sold-out show at Music Hall of Williamsburg. Happy Birthday and Wild Nothing are both extremely solid openers. The new Woods song is below, which has been all over the internets today. I’ve heard the new album several times; it’s very good. And this definitely isn’t even the best song.
