Recommended Wednesday Show: So Cow, Babies, Sunday Times, and The Surprisers at Death By Audio

I don’t mean to blog about Babies and So Cow quite so much, but this is definitely the best show going on tomorrow.  I’ve already made my extreme adoration for those two groups quite clear (just got home, in fact, from seeing Babies at Knitting Factory – photos soon at Impose), so I’ll focus on Sunday Times and The Surprisers, two excellently-named bands I was unfamiliar with until about twenty minutes ago.  The Surprisers are from Brooklyn and sound a little like Elvis if he went insane and moved to Brooklyn and spent a lot of time in DIY venues.  I can’t say for certain, but I wouldn’t be surprise(rs)d if their live show is full of energy and worth getting to DBA to see.

Sunday Times are from San Diego and only have one short song up on their MySpace.  It, too, has an old-school, 60s pop feel to it at the beginning, but turns into a plucky punk number once the vocals kick in.  It’s too little for me to tell very much about this band, but I do like the track.  I can find MP3s for neither Surprisers or Sunday Times on the Internet, so I’ll content myself with posting some Babies for you.
