Recommended Thursday: Local Natives and Suckers at Bowery Ballroom

Honestly, Local Natives don’t excite me all that much on record.  But live?  Gorgeous, gorgeous vocal harmonies.  I remember being blown away by their singing during CMJ at tiny Pianos, and I can only imagine how beautifully they’ll fill up Bowery Ballroom.  Suckers have sounded good recently, too.  Their IAMSOUND show during CMJ was running frustratingly behind, but their set was fun and the new songs were just as electroncally, wailingly delicious as ever.  A solid show all around, though unfortunately sold out.  Beach House are also playing a sold out show at Webster Hall, but Washed Out are opening, and frankly, I feel like he’s been a little overexposed with all of his recent dates with Small Black.  If you can find tickets to either show, both are good options.
